Before you book

With so many Melbourne escape rooms close together, it is worth choosing by tram route: the CBD venues are all inside the free tram zone, the south-eastern suburbs follow the Sandringham and Glen Waverley lines, and the regional centres suit a day trip with an afternoon game.

Before travelling to Pakenham, confirm with the business directly that it is open; the escape rooms listed below were confirmed as trading on 22 October 2026.

Questions, answered

Questions about escape rooms in Melbourne

Where are the escape rooms in Melbourne’s suburbs?

Outside the CBD, Escape Rooms Australia lists Ukiyo Melbourne (Brunswick), Rush Escape Game (South Yarra, Hawthorn, St Kilda and Chadstone), Escape Room Melbourne (Flemington, South Melbourne and Northcote), The Mystery Rooms (Fitzroy and Geelong), Escape Artistz (Hawthorn), Doctor Q Escape Room (South Yarra), Extreme Escape (St Kilda), Escape Games Melbourne (Richmond), EscapeXperience (Oakleigh) and Locked In Escape Rooms (Mornington). Each escape room has its own centre page.

Why does the directory keep escape rooms that may have closed?

Because people still search for them. When Escape Rooms Australia can’t confirm that an escape room business is trading, its page stays up with a clear warning and points to open escape rooms nearby, instead of disappearing. If you know it has closed or reopened, email the directory.
